Sarah first began training in Hip-Hop styles of dance, but also has great array of knowledge and experience in Contemporary, Jazz and Burlesque. Sarah constantly seeks to evolve herself and her knowledge of dance, and does so by training weekly and reading about her styles to gain deeper understanding, so that she can be the best teacher she can possibly be.

Sarah currently holds a Btec National Award: Distinction in dance, as well as a BA(Hons):2.1 from the University of Chester and a BATD Associates Freestyle award, for which she is highly commended.

Sarah loves teaching and inspiring fun and enjoyment through dance and is very happy to be teaching at Nycha Dance Creations.

 

Burlesque offers a fun, sexy and feminine experience of dance. Through weekly classes Sarah will teach examples of modern and traditional Burlesque and Cabaret styles, influenced by jazz also, to an array of music all the way from Peggy Lee to Christina Aguilera to Marilyn Manson.

Styles could include the ‘Can Can’, Charleston, striptease, chair/lap dance and basic choreographed pieces.

The class is open to all levels, so from beginner to advanced don’t be afraid to come and give it a go. Sarah provides a fun, friendly class which welcomes anyone wanting to try something different and inspires people to feel comfortable in their own skin.

Born and raised in Persia, Sia has had a life-long desire to pursue dance, however it wasn’t until the development of his Street Dance duo, the Urban Jokers, that he was able to turn it from a hobby into much more.
Since then he has developed a vast range of experience, performing at events across the country and Europe while also appearing on TV on BBC Three’s ‘Move Like Michael Jackson’, SKY GOT TO DANCE, BRITAINS GOT TALENT, FIFA11 ADVERTS, SPORTS Master Football.

The Urban Jokers have also hit the screens through their involvement in a variety of other dance competitions. In addition to this they have performed at various showcases, festivals and other events. This experience has also led to Sia choreographing routines for many showcases all around the UK.
They have performed at such events as:
>Breaking convention, UDO world championships MJ tribute alongside Diversity, Streetfest Tour (Across UK), Street Dance XXL tour (across UK),Cloud9 festival "featured Artists"

As a self-taught dancer Sia knows how to react and adapt his teaching methods to the needs of his pupils. In addition to this he is constantly developing new routines with fresh choreography and delivering them to academies across the country. He is currently teaching in a variety of schools, colleges and dance academies around the Uk.

A London child, he moved to Doncaster at the age of ten and slowly developed his passion for dance. Pierre is twenty-three and has been a self-taught dancer/teacher for five years now. What make’s him different from a lot of teachers is his unique character and dance techniques. Pierre’s vast knowledge of different dance styles is indicated in his choreography, choreo’ that is not restricted by the genre of music. Thinking and dancing outside of the box is what he encourages his students across the UK to do.

As well as teaching Pierre has formed his own dance duo known as the Urban Jokers who have established themselves as one of the top duos in UK. They have performed at events across the country and Europe such as; Breaking convention 2010 Sheffield, UDO world championships MJ tribute alongside Diversity, Streetfest Tour (Across UK), Street Dance XXL tour (across UK), Cloud9 festival "featured Artists". Urban Jokers have appeared on TV a number of times. They are BBC Three’s ‘Move Like Michael Jackson’, SKY1’s GOT TO DANCE, BRITAINS GOT TALENT, FIFA11 ADVERT, and SPORTS Master Football.

Pierre has recently created a new type of dance crew known as the Remix Monkeys Dance Clan, which is a group of dancers with their own flavours and skills that perform in morphsuits. They are set on twisting the look and style of stree tdance. Remix Monkeys are now the northeast dance crew champions after competing and winning their first ever competition. They will be hitting the big screen also, in the Bollywood street dance movie ‘Someday’. Led by Pierre they are an exciting clan to look out for in the future.
